Overcoming Barriers Services (OBS) was founded to serve and engage with the community by providing support through the Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) program.
ISS is an educational approach focused on developing essential life skills and socialization abilities tailored to each individual's unique needs and strengths. This personalized method is designed for individuals of all ages—including children, adolescents, and adults.
Originally launched as ISS – Off-Site Only, OBS continues to promote independence, inclusion, and personal growth through flexible, community-based programs.
An engagement plan for Individualized Skills and Socialization (ISS) plays a vital role in ensuring that each individual remains motivated, actively involved, and invested in their personal growth and development.
By tailoring the plan to each person’s unique needs and preferences, we not only enhance their learning experience but also create opportunities for long-term independence, social integration, and improved quality of life.
